Low carb

Well I'm back on the low carb diet that I was on while pregnant with Summer, since I had gestational diabetes. I figure I will have it again, so I'm getting a jump start on it. It's kind of nice knowing what you can and can't eat. Isn't it hard on your own? Luckilly I got to see a dietitian, and I learned the ropes of low carb eating.

While pregnant with Summer I gained 10 pounds before finding out I had GD and starting the diet. By the time I had her I was down 25 pounds. I am hoping to lose weight with this pregnancy too, I was losing about 3 pounds a weeks, amazing!

I know, different diets work for different people. Just so happens my body responds really well to the low carb diet. Some people go on it and there body does not respond. If you are looking to lose weight this year, one diet may not work, but just try another. Good luck! Wish me luck too!

New Years Day

Finally time to celebrate Christmas! My parents came down and brought my Grandma with. Brandi and Jayden came too, we had a pizza party and opened presents.

A baby from papa

Mega blocks wagon from Santa

What is Bailey doing in the background? LOL!

That morning we woke up and went down stairs. I open the fridge to get some water and apparently did not shut the door tight. Chris and I find Summer in the kitchen with a huge slice a pizza and she was going to town trying her best to eat this mammoth size peice of pizza. It was too funny.

"MMM this is good pizza"

New Years Eve

This is not going to be a post about how I stayed up late and had a ball ringing in the new year I went to bed at 7:30 as always. Hehe! This ia a post about new appliances! Good and bad....

On the morning of New Years Eve delivery guys delivered a brand spankin new dish washer, courtesy of my sister Jacqulyn, who apparently does not like hand washing dishes. Who does though? Thanks Jac! Chris showed Summer how to play in the big box, she had a lot of fun.

A big tunnel to play in!

" This is fun, Dad!"

Do you love what she wore to bed the night before?

Our furnace has been acting up and this was the day it died. The same day we got our dishwasher we had to call the furnace people and unfortunately buy a new furnace. They brought in our new younger cooler looking furnace and we finally had heat at 4 pm. Thanks to space heaters we didn't get to cold though!

BTW, I did fortunatly wake up at 11:30 that night and Chris had just gotton off work so we did get to ring in the new year together with a smooch and then I went back to bed. :D

Where have I been?

Busy, busy, busy! My sister Jac and my nephew Tyler have moved in and we are happy to have them. She came from AZ and with our 28 inches of snow on the ground I think she is in a state of shock, poor girl!

Since old man winter gave us a doosey of a storm over Christmas, for the first time we were not able to spend Christmas eve at mom and dad's. So my sister Brandi and Jayden came over. We ate chili and let the kids open their gifts.

Summer absolutely loved tearing open her gifts and other people as well! Did I mention she likes to be diaperless too?

Awe, smart idea dad, giving your 1 year old markers. Her and Jayden are having a blast with them!

Oh, there they go...in the mouth, and who's not looking? Guess I dropped the ball there! But wait, who is taking that picture?! Cough! (Her dad) LOL

Thank God they are non toxic. My poor baby!
